Best Method for cleaning Tolex?

Try Windex and a toothbrush (great for getting in the corners). Apply Windex, scrub with a soft tootbrush (or larger brush with similar bristles), and wipe clean with paper towel. After the tolex is dry, apply Armour All protectant. Your cabinets will look brand new afterwards (assuming there are no rips in your covering to start with of course).

Cheers,

Whatever you do, don't use Armor All! That stuff will turn some black vinyl products brown over time.

What I use is a little wooden fingernail brush like this..

...and Meguiar's Natural Shine protectant...

Spray on, scrub, wipe of excess, done. It will look like brand new without being all slimy or slippery.

TuffStuff and a brush, probably the same as the bathroom foam.
I just did a Peavey 1810 cab + I replaced the rusty
corners. This thing was nasty before cleaning.

Just a bit more advice: In addition to cleaning, take care of any tears right away, before little tears turn into big tears. And if you find that a particular portion is taking more than its share of abuse, consider adding skid rails.

Do NOT use Armorall. It will fade away and dry out the Tolex. Then you'll want to use it again. Planned obsolesence in practice.

I scrub mine down in the tub with dishwater. Then I scrub in STP vinyl treatment from the auto parts store. Works wonders and makes it look like new.
