Cats on Cabinets

Yeah, that's fine if your cab doesn't have that black fuzzy fabric on it. My cats have roughed that up until it's fluffed out. Oh well, another reason to wonder why we have them.

I don't have a pic, but i've found my cat using the front grill cloth of my Ampeg 8x10 as a scratching post... seriously her claws do not do any damage!
Not long ago I bought a small, carpet covered combo amp that was so tore up by the family cat, that not only were parts of the carpet pulled completely off the plywood itself, there were numerous cat claws stuck in the nap. Eek.
Place a few pieces of 8 x 11 paper sheets on your cab (or counters). Place empty soda cans filled with some pennies. When cat jumps up can falls on ground and the loud noise will scare the cat and should prevent the cat from jumping on the cab again.
Get a cat tower. Cats like to get up off the floor and higher so they can survey their territory 
I have a Line 6 110 that I use at home, I have to keep a few rolled up socks around to throw at the cat when she uses the rat fur on it for a scratching post.

A good idea, but tin foil works as well. That's how we trained our girl to stay off the counters many moons ago.
But what if I don't mind? The tolex doesn't accumulate hair and she looks so cute. No harm no foul I say...

No sharpening of the claws on the Tolex then? Lucky!
I don't know about you, but my cat loves to sit on my cab. It one reason I bought the new portaflex; no carpet to gather fur.
