eBay: it continues

Gah! I was looking on my phone at these and saw one of the shirts. I thought to myself "Sweet! I should post on the forum and see if that one I love will be going up!"

This is the one I was thinking of: G STAR Gray Denim Jacket Nine Inch Nails NIN JMJ | eBay

Really wishing I could justify this. *sigh*

Also, I agree that the t-bird is insanely awesome looking. That's one instrument I'd love to have in my collection.

I've got to say, i find it a little distasteful that this guy is selling off all of his stuff if it was endorsed.

For example, Lakland is a great company, which endorses artists periodically. I know plenty of people who would give their right arm to receive a Lakland bass for free, and furthermore, hang on to it and play it! All the basses for sale (that i have seen) look "mint", which makes me think that they were not purchased, but rather, were endorsed. All the other stuff i'd bid on if i needed it and it looked "used".

I think it's a little exploitative to take products that companies have given you for free and then sell them for profit.

errrr... i think it's distasteful too that you give your thoughts about it on this thread.

so yeah, go be a rockstar and toot the virtues of "not selling endorsed gear," but until then, i suggest you lay off the keyboard warrior thing.

Your concept of endorsements seems to be a bit...off. First of all, I do not see JMJ listed on Invalid Link Removed. Misconception #1.

As for endorsements themselves? Most endorsement deals between a manufacturer and a player will allow the player to buy instruments / amps / etc AT DEALER COST. The instances of companies just GIVING gear to artist endorsers are far fewer than most people realize. Additionally, some people (myself included), like to keep their instruments in pretty good condition. Your assertion again seems....off.

As for the sale itself? This is a pro player who is selling off his excess gear. And you are making a judgement about that with zero facts on which to base your own opinion. And on top of that, JMJ has been pretty generous to the TB community with his time, contributions and advice, all of which are based in his considerable experience.

My turn. Who says they were free? Think again...or better yet, don't speculate on what you don't know. And "selling off all of his stuff if it was endorsed"? Your convenient generalizations are categorically incorrect. You're embarrassing yourself.
