Yup, so far so good. I know most people read this in high school, but my sophomore year the language arts program decided to shift things up and give us something else to read. So I'm playing catchup 9 years late.

I didnt hear about Faranheit 451 until college myself. Our Mass Media & Society class watched the film, and I read the book not long after.

Quite good. His writing style is excellent.

I keep telling myself I'm going to finish The Plague by Camus, but I haven't been motivated. I started it in january before my final semester or grad school started but haven't gone back yet. Too busy reading papers for work.... and TB :hiding:

Jeeze, it's not like it's that long of a book! :hmm:

I've read it somewhere between ten and twenty times. It's one of my favorites. It sustains a very strange mood, plus as a bonus, I love the wonderful character of M. Joseph Grand and his struggle to create worthy art. How I identify! ;)

I also love the splendid cover art on a recent paperback version:

Is not being motivated to read Camus ironic or fitting?

Anyways, I just started Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, but I haven't read a page in weeks. I'm also about a third of the way through The Brothers Karamazov. I put that one down after The Grand Inquisitor. I'm still trying to process what Dostoevsky said there. I'm also looking to expand into some Kafka, any suggestions there?
