Bill lawrence Q-filter wiring

I bought a B.L. Q-filter from another TB'er and plan to have it on my jazz bass.
Does anyone know how to wire it on a standard VVT control jazz bass? google doesn't give the answer......seems i have to add a toggle or swith, but i just wanna keep the vvt control.
anyone can help?

I'm not sure how you didn't get results in Google. It should take you to this page:

Then on the left you see "Wiring and Tech Info"

That takes you to this page:

Where it gets confusing is they have a slide show of schematics, but if you click on "view all images" you end up here, in a round about way:

Here's Q filter to standard tone control with a switch:

Here's some more Q filter diagrams:

This should help, sub the feeds coming off the vols to the tone for the 5 way in the dia.

Aint no 5-way in that diagram, 96tbird....Nowever the diagram suggested is a good way to get started as you can switch between Q-Tone and regular tone and with a push-pull you wont need to drill any holes for a new switch.

I'm using the Q-Filter on the clips in my signature. Do note that I have it wired slightly different than most diagrams, mine has a regular tone engaged simultaneously with the Q-Tone.

1.thanks for your help.
2.believe or not wildepickups.com is blocked here so i can't open the link that David post.
3.i am still wondering do i have to add switch or push-pull pot to use q-filter?or i can just wire it to tone pot like a cap? i want to keep the v-v-t control.

Do the photobucket links work for you? That's where the actual diagrams are posted. If not try accessing through Zend2.com.

How you wire it up is really up to you.
If you rarely use the tone control I'd suggest this diagram: Link Removed
