Strings for a Fender Jazz

I bought a Fender Us Deluxe Jazz 5 whilst on holiday in the US and Canada a couple of weeks ago. You might ask what kind of freak goes into guitar shops whilst on holiday, but we won't go into that.

The stock strings on the bass were dead and I want to swap them out. Now I tune down two steps so A, D, G, C, F. I'd like to string the bass through the body for extra tension.

The nickel Rotosounds that I bought out there sound bad. They're 130, 105, 85, 65, 45.

The B and E have no punch or focus. I've sorted the intonation and neck relief, but I really need some strings that will do justice to this bass.
