Color of Geddy Red J

I agree. It's awesome. He had it custom built to drop tune all strings a whole step down for stuff that he can't vocally quite pull off in the original key (for example: 2112 Overture and Temples, Circumstances, etc.) Good way to keep playing the old stuff without killing your voice. :D

Nice!!!

That's not Candy though. I just had a CAR bass made by Warmoth and Candy is very clearly a metallic paint. That looks more like Fiesta.

Warmoth does a killer CAR though - I love how this came out.

I looked at the Warmoth color chart and "Dakota Red" seems close to Geddy's color.

"Fiesta" looks much lighter. But I know it's tricky to judge a color on a PC monitor.

It's amazing that Geddy can still sing the ultra high vocal part of "Freewill".

His red bass is actually transparent red. Hard to tell in most pics, but up close you can see that the bass is transparent red and the wood has some really nice flame to it.

Ahhh! I honestly did not catch that. That really is a nice bass. I remember seeing him on the cover of Bass player magazine with a red jazz that looked darker, almost maroon looking. Anyone else ever see this?

The only way to get a real idea of their colors is to find a body already done in the Showcase. I found a CAR body and it looked nothing like their paint sample. When I ordered I told them I wanted it to look exactly the same as the body, not the patch and they assured me it would, and it did.
