Franken Squiers!

BEHOLD! Chopped and diced! Amputated and sutured! The three-way neck swap monstrosities!

Starting with three new Squier Vintage Modified basses - a '77 Jazz, a Jaguar, and a Precision, The white P-bass gets the maple-board white-blocked Jazz neck.

IT'S ALIIIIVE!!!

Is all this gear playable from a bassist point of view?

Oh hell yes! I wouldn't be interested in a little project like this if the result wasn't something as playable or better than what went in to it. :D :bassist:

All three are very nice instruments. I like slender necks, and even though the P-bass neck was a very well finished specimen, I'd like to stick to the J-necks. Hence, the three-way swap. The only changes I might make from here is a white pearloid pickguard for the P-bass, and - since I already have it laying about - Quarter Pounders too.

Dat P gon' be a bar gig monstah! -but the black PG is very late-70's cool, and I wouldn't change it.

I love it! I'm gonna be doing something in this simalarity with the Amber VMP and the VM Jaguar Neck

Ohhh! I wanna play!
Here's a fretless I just finished.
Bought the fiesta red Squier unloaded body and Warmoth neck off TB folks. I added the decal to the headstock. The tuners are from a HWY 1 bass, Nordstrand pups, I built the harness myself, picked up a mint colored 62RI pick guard. Found a hi-mass bridge cheap and strung it with Fender 9050CL flats. :hyper:
