Holy Moly!! A Devil Bass

Had one, a '68. Mine was red & black, with a telescopic attatchment to play in the upright position, similar to a Gibson EB-1.

The wierd tranducer gave a semi-convincing URB sound, but that's about all it was good for. As I recall, its X-long replacement strings were hard to find.

This guy on ebay is comedy gold! Like Crazy Eddie, his prices are INSANE. Literally.

$10grand for a refinished Devil bass??? Where does he come up with this stuff!!?? If that bass were factory dead mint it wouldn't be worth $10grand. Too funny.

I don't think they made these in 1968. I've never hear of them coming equipped with a floor peg.
