I've started using a SBDDI in front of an older Peavey Combo 300 bass amp. I think the tone of the SBDDI is a tremendous improvement over the PV alone, but whenever I set the SBDDI's treble or presence knobs above 12 o'clock I get a lot of hiss. I've tried a number of different wallwarts, as well as using the 9V battery alone with no difference in the level of hiss.
The HC effects database reviews on the Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor are nearly all pretty favorable - has anyone here tried one to quiet a bass rig? My band does a lot of laid-back instrumentals and the hiss from the Sansamp is annoying on a number of the the tunes.
