I don't think Matt plays it anymore. I saw Weezer live recently, and he played a P-bass with a Dark Star pickup for the entire set.

Matt hasn't played with Weezer since 1998. You saw Scott Shriner.

Matt does indeed still play that Jazz, he used it when he guested on Tegan and Sara's "The Con" album, the accompanying dvd shows him playing it.

That gets my vote, too. What's the point of putting a neck with a Tele headstock on a Jazz? All you do is change the balance..which is usually real good to start with.
