Hello, My Name Is...

So, who has bestowed upon their instrument a personal nickname? I've known a few folks who have done this, and it often seems to be guys who really care about their bass.

As for myself, I've been getting more and more into bass lately, and because of issues (lack of skill) with the former bass player of my band, I moved from drums to replace him. So I'm thinking at the first gig we play with our new lineup, which will offically make me a bass player, I'm going to christen my bass with a name.

I opened looking for "hello my name is Mud"

But my yamaha trb1004 is named Yammy, friend started it, bringing your yammy? wheres the yammy? now it just stuck

My fretless is "Big Red".

hehe ibanezcollector, my yammaha's get the same moniker "the yammy and the modded yammy" though the modded one was named 'the acid queen' a long time ago.

It's a hunk of wood with wires on it. So I named it Fluffy.

My Fender '62 RI Jazz Fretless (CIJ) is called Wilma. The postman delievered it to me the day after Hurricane Wilma!
