Nicknames for bass

my RBX: "little flame" due to the shape of the head and the playability
my jazz: "battlestar" due to it's size and weight compared to my main bass

note: "little flame" translated from my native language, but the nick "battlestar" in english I often use

my wife and I affectionately refer to my t-40 as "the tree trunk"
my ripper I call "gibby" I know, how unoriginal
then the really unoriginal names.. like the green bitch or the orange bastard

i know these are a little "out there," but here are mine:

I call my Musicman Stingray "stingray,"
my Fender Precision "p-bass,"
my Jack Casady "Jack Casady,"
and my Moog Little Phatty "Little Phatty." ;-)

I either have no imagination or I simply don't get the whole naming/nicknaming thing. Obviously YMMV.

The only one I've named is my Squier Frank Bello signature bass. I named it Frank, short for Frank Castle.

Truth be told, I only got this bass because I'm a huge Punisher fan and it kinda looks Punisher's skull. :smug:
