I've been trying out a ton of effects lately. Over the years, I've gone through phases of buying, then selling, then more buying with more subsequent selling.
What I've come to realize is that the ones that stay are the ones that retain the tone of my bass/amp. My two favorite pedals right now are the Van Amps Sole Mate and the Teese RMC Wah. (Followed closely by the Analogman Chorus.)
Don't get me wrong, I love to hear people use effects creativley, from subtle to extreme, but for me, I like effects that lets the true tone of the bass shine through while gently massaging the tone.
Are there any pedals that I should check out? I'd love to find a Phaser that fits me.
