....and since we're talking about plugins...

Is there any patch list for plugins? I get notified sometimes that plugins are updated, but I don't know what plugins or what the updates are. Sometimes I can tell (like the recent update to Picking Fingers or when Nembrini made all their plugins skeumorphic), but usually I can't.

Been having fun with Nembrini’s Bass Hammer plugin. I really like the subtle AGS. Nembrini got the character of the AGS right from low gain to high gain.



Preset is available in the Suite if you want to give it a try. I put a link on where I got the DCX and an SL112 IR I bought from Tyler Spicer.

The PH1 is so simple, but they couldn't bother to model the depth knob?

Anyway, I think the PH-1 sounds good, but if you want to save some money, use the stock phaser with the following settings and will be very close.

Mode: Mono
Color: 1 kHz
Depth: 1300
Rate: to taste
Feedback: min
Stages: 4

The great thing about the stock phaser is that you can also get other sounds out it (for example, something uni-vibish) that you can't get out of the PH-1. However, this is why it would be nice to have user-definable templates on all the stock blocks (similar to the entropia and ignissor, but user-creatable). If I set the stock phaser for a PH-1 style tone, then I have to reference a preset to get the settings for a Univibe-style tone, which is a bit of a pain.

I will second your vote for the PSA1000, it can get some great tones with guitar and bass (and other stuff too, just ask Mitch Froom).

And finally, I give my highest recommendation to the Gaffa delay. I think the stock ones are solid (although Darkglass needs to make them stereo), but the Gaffa is incredible.
