Supercollider v2 Review [vs Tonebender]

Took this thing a damn long time to get here because I got it right before he began production on the v2.

Anyways, it was worth the wait. It's a cool pedal. It reminds me more of a Big muff than my Tonebender for some reason. The LED is super bright for you LED fanatics. Construction is top-notch.

The knobs make this pedal pretty damn versatile. The Depth controls how much bass it puts out, Tone is treble, mids are........mids...

It's a tough decision with my Tonebender vs. Supercollider. Tell me what you like better.

And yeah, dog hair rocks.

Tonebender first, SC second.

That's the first time I've liked what I heard from the SC.

Did you listen to grygrx's clips? They are always very deep and bassy. I think that his choice of P bass (very deep, not to much high end) translates into a almost high-tone in his videos.

Chronicle's clips however seem to be recorded with a more trebley and high mid tone (maybe a Jazz?), and therefore, sound much different. I think I really like Chronicle's tone much better than grygrx's tone for the supercollider.

Chronicle, what bass did you use for these recordings?

...with what sound like flatwounds and the tone rolled back to nil.

It's veeeery much in contrast to my bypassed tone.

Yeah, the brightness is much more along the lines of the tone I've usually got. I didn't love the tone but it's much more of an accurate depiction of what it would sound like for my rig and my setup.
