Well I've been searching for a MapleGlo Ric for as long as I can remember, like from the time I first started playing, sometime just before the end of the dinosaurs if you must know. I finally got one. By chance I tracked it thru the Ric website to my local dealer, who transferred it in and tadaa!!!!
It's a late 09 early December model with the new 2 piece neck.
The neck is different from my '86, though not in a way I can readily identify, just feels, I don't know, weird. Not horrible/unplayable or any of that, just weird, like the guy in the shop needed to change his sandpaper one neck back or some such. But when you get to honkin' on it, boy it's everything you love about a Ric, and then some cuz it's a Maple.
Now as luck would have it I've got a real black pick guard and a black headstock logo, and I kind of lean towards the change. However lets put it to the vote,. Wadda YOU think oh great TB diaspora?
