I found a deal through Ebay where you get 35% cash back on any buy it now auction, up to $250 per auction. So anything over $715($715 x 35%=$250) will just have $250 cash back. Cash back is in the form of a credit to your paypal account.

From another site:

"Only applies to Buy It Now items paid for using PayPal. For example, go to http://www.live.com/ (type it into your browser, don't click the link in this post) and search for a Fender bass. Check the paid results at the top and right for a link to eBay with the "live search cashback" icon. Click it, find a Buy It Now auction for a Fender bass (or whatever you want for that matter). Discount should be listed on checkout page."

Looks like you wait 60 days for the cash to show up in your paypal account. Not sure how long this will work.

Just do what PDubs said, search for fender bass, click the link to get into ebay. From there you can search for whatever you want. Anything over $714.29 will get you the full $250 off. Anything less you will get the normal 35% off. IT MUST BE BUY IT NOW

This definetly works, I bought something else with buy it now and paid through Paypal. I got a confirmation message in "My Messages" and it showed me how to redeem the cash back.

Search specifically for Fender bass, click on the link, then you have the next 60 minutes to search for ANYTHING with a buy it now. You'll get the 35% cash back within 60 days and it goes directly into your paypal account.

It's a great deal, I can't imagine how much money Microsoft is losing.

Looks like it's back up to 20%. I recieved my cashback and it's in my live account from the other day. I was nervous to purchase any more since I wasn't sure if I'd get the 35% back.

Lots of people were just buying stuff from themselves...:scowl:

I just wanted to bring this up again. I've now used it the max of three times per Ebay account. Go to live.com, enter whatever you are looking for, click the green 25% cashback symbol near the Ebay link and search for what you want (Buy It Now and paid through PayPal only). Once that you hit the Buy It Now button, you will see the amount that Live.com is paying BEFORE you confirm the purchase, so that's cool, but you do need to sign up for a live.com account and it does take 60 days before you are refunded into your PayPal account. You have to pay the whole thing up front.

Up to $250 cashback each time, up to three transactions per Ebay account. No catch, no joke, it works. I still have yet to receive my refunds, but it is very clear that it takes 60 days. Also, I have seen the cashback % change. Right now it is 25%, most recently it has been 20% and a few times I saw it at only 10%. Once I guess it was even 35%, just watch it, it can change day to day.

I also used the current 10% off coupon for any Ebay item (code: CJULYFUN0810P) which worked WITH the 25% cashback, so I received 35% total off a Carvin cab that I just purchased on Ebay. Not bad.

HEY Birminghambass, I was wondering too. Here's my non industry guess. E-bay and M-soft are sharing the load cause E-bay gets more quick sales turnovers ergo more listings. Msoft is trying to build more live.com registrants so they can tell advertisers that millions search live .com each day for what they want.In a nut shell look at the stock price of Google vs Msoft.. Google gets a bazillion advertisers cause they have a trillion searches each day.
Any hi-tech saavy folks want to comment?

I'm guessing that the majority of people who take up the offer buy cheaper items. Me, I just bought a brand new American Standard Precision bass. With a 10% off eBay coupon and 25% cash back with this, it's costing me $750. That's a deal.

The amount seems to change based on what you search on -- try a couple different search terms to get a higher percentage.
