im wondering what you think about these two compared to each other i believe i will upgrade pickups on either bass but i wanna know what feels better and what is more high quality

Subscribed because I'm in the same boat. I dont have any basses with a P pickup and would like to have one but I think I'd missing having the bridge pickup.. I've particularly been looking at this:

For some reason, I'm leaning more towards the Squire over the SX.. I have a VM Fretless and a couple SX basses and prefer the Squire over them.

I have an SX and a Squier. I prefer the Squiers neck.
Unless you played an SX neck, you will never know which feel better to you. I believe that the Squier has better quality control. I am sure others will chime in and let you know what they think.

I've got a SX PJ that I've done several mods on. As far as "feel", it's right up there with my MIA's & Squiers. I also have a Squier P Special with an after market neck on it. It also feels good but weighs way less than the SX.

AFAIC, you could go either way & not lose.

I owned a Squier P-Bass special for several months and sold it to a TB'er. I owned an SX SJB-62 for a day and returned it to Rondo. Given those two basses, I would pick the Squier.

Update: I bought a Douglass WEB-846 that makes me want to reverse what I posted above.

i have a squier P/J that i absolutely LOVE. threw some EMG's in it, it sounds amazing and plays like a dream! the neck is just to die for, feels so sweet and fast!

for some reason i have posted more pics of that bass than of any of my other machines.

I own both and my older Korean Squier Jazz is a great little bass. Not as nice as my USA Precision, but a lot lighter and nicer than my SX. In general I'd rather have the Squier but the SX is no slouch as an affordable alternative.

About SX Ps/PJs: I really like mine (I ordered a fretless P a while ago) but was a bit disappointed by the fact that it wasn't shielded at all while my Squier at least has basic shielding (using graphite lacquer, I guess.) Is anyone else's SX not shielded at all?
