Hey Talkbass,

Do you ever run into another Talkbasser in real life?

I visited a cool cat that restored a Yamaha BB200 that I gave up on. He was a really interesting, passionate guy with a ton of info on setup, repair, pickups, playing, musicality. He had about 6 other basses that he restored, that were all phenomenal basses.

Afterwards, I found out he was Andy Panda, here on TB.

Hey Andy, if you ever read this, thanks for putting up with my ignorant dribble and edifying me.
Mike League is super cool, and thanks for teaching me the virtues of a plug in preamp.

I've yet to meet a TB'er in meatspace that wasn't a cool dude/lady.

Met more than a handful. Strangely enough, those that are the closest won't give me their home addresses.

One particular TBer in western PA recalls when I purchased my first good amp, a Sunn Beta Bass, back in '79 when I was 21.
