Anyone know anything about this bass? Here's what I know:
It's a Takamine Solid Body electric
Passive electronics
NOT a bolt on neck but I don't know if it's Neck-thru, glued-on, or set-in
Purchased new around 1986 at a local guitar store (gone now) as a high school graduation present for me (somewhre around $450 at the time if I remember correctly).
SERIOUSLY mistreated in my "I have time to tinker" days,
Had a micro switch installed at one point (forget why...)
Removed the tone pot after the knob broke (roommate's gutar fell into it...), figured I could make tone changes with my amp.
Added second output jack so each pickup could be sent to separate amp when using 2 cables or combined if only using 1.
Checked with Takamine and they can't help me without a Serial Number which was on the control cavity plate if I remember right, don't know where that is...
ANY other information would be greatly appreciated.
