Good bass riffs for beginners...

Hi,

I'm looking for some new riffs to learn, I'm a beginner so something fun, testing but achievable would be great!

So far I can play happy birthday, white stripes - 7 nation army and my major/minor and pentatonic scales.

only be playing for 3 days so go easy!

any suggestions?

cheers

You've done a lot in three days  . Kind of makes me blush when I think about my first MONTH on bass... :hiding:

Thanks! I'm quite pleased with progress. I leant a lot by reading and "mental practice" before I even got my guitar. As soon as I picked it up I could play my major/minor scales, pentatonics and knew the neck. Was good a plan I think - if I hadnt learnt that before I got the guitar I prob wouldnt have bothered - would have been too busy trying to play various things!

Every day I practice scales etc, finger stuff and lessons from Link Removed and a book. Plus i just try to play stuff I like.

I dont spend too long on it but always find if I leave it the next day when I come back it seems easier!

If you want to call it a bass g****r go right ahead. Most people call them basses, since the electric bass has its roots in the upright double bass. The bass is a different instrument from a g****r and should be approached differently as well, since it serves a different purpose than a g****r.
