If you want to call it a bass g****r go right ahead. Most people call them basses, since the electric bass has its roots in the upright double bass. The bass is a different instrument from a g****r and should be approached differently as well, since it serves a different purpose than a g****r.

Interesting. So someone didnt just take a guitar and think "this is cool, i might just make one exactly the same except a bit longer and with fatter strings so I can play lower notes"???

Not at all, but IMO if you want to use just one word, bass is a better description, since guitar and bass (guitar) are seperate instruments. I am however not criticising you.

I can't remember. It was the first bass line I learned waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when. It was in an instruction booklet I bought.
