Cool! It's neat to see that in context of a cab to see how really small it is.
However, from what I understand it can't be bridged, which means you need to use two 4ohm cabs with it to achieve its 500 watt power rating. If they eventually figure out how to deliver 500 watts into a single cab, they might really have something there.

Yeap, u need two 4-ohm cabs to get the full volume level out of this small monster... By an e-mail from Ashdown i was told that they gonna make 2 new neo-speaker cabs to much the Superfly around December. ITs gonna be a 1x15 cab and a 4x8 cab... both on 4-ohm.
I've gotta say, that looks to be a VERY impressive amp.....I do think that they blew it with it being 500 watts into 2ohms though....They will lose a lot of sales.
For accuracy's sake, the Superfly actually will not handle a 2ohm load. It's 2x250 into 4ohms. Otherwise, it's a pretty cool package. If only it could be bridged...
being able to go from patch to patch is pretty cool. but having to spend on a midi footcontroller's a little annoying.

Interesting. Not especially impressed with it, however. 2x250 isnt especially appealing, and the presets just kind of remind me of my old digitech bp that never got any use. But I guess digital stuff just isnt my bag.
Good job Ashdown. I like to see technical innovations like this. Small, lightweight, easy to use, and Ashdown reliability.
But I am kind of scratching my head when I see the superfly has midi but their new pedals don't. Seems like they recognize the need for different presets on a preamp, but not for effects. The two should be tied together like with other midi setups.

I want one. Ashdown makes great amps and the superfly is appealing to me. $700 bucks is not a bad price for what you get. I'd probably use it for some of my smaller gigs.
