If Reverend were to make "Skyline models," what would you want?

If Reverend were ever to stage manufacturing basses again, offshore, ala Lakland's Skyline range to control price, what would you wnat to see?
Rumblefish P/J?
5L
Brad Houser 5?
Something like a Club King Hollowbody? That'd be awesome, eh?

Sound off if you care enough to really pony up if they were to go back into production...

I think a shortscale (30" or 32") Club King bass would be one of the coolest things ever.

Maybe a bass version of the 'Flatroc' guitar.

And, of course the good ol' Rumblefish. I'd prefer a PJ 4-string, but I think there'd be a lot of demand for J pickups and 5-strings, too.

Well, I prefer shorties, plus 'short scale' and 'hollowbody' just go together, if that makes sense.

Hows about a limited run of all of them. And then we could get into a bit of snobish infighting about what's better etc. :smug:

HaHaHa.... But I'm sure if Joe decides to go that route he would insure that they would be great. I just hope they wouldn't be tagged with some hokey logo & brand name.

Brad Houser 5, with options for all the really far-out finishes like bugeye chrome, lava swirl, etc.

If it were <$800, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, assuming it were made to the same basic specifications/standards as the old models, and not just a crappy knockoff that LOOKS like a Reverend.

Club king hollowbody sounds pretty cool, too.

I like the idea of a short scale 'fish! I'd be interested in the BH 4 string too! I'd also like the bug eye finish. sorry, no 5's for me--I already have a 5L I never play--I should trade it for a p/j 4.

In reality though, if they ever did anything, I'm guessing he'd have to stick to 1 model and keep it simple--whatever his best seller has been--probably a 4 string j/j. I think the reason they discontinued basses in the first place was poor sales so it seems unlikely a new line would include 57 varieties. Anyone have any Idea what the total # of reverend basses ever produced was?

Personally, I feel I really missed out by not being able to get one - so I would just be happy if Mr. Naylor decided to have them made - well, that plus getting one of them....

The funny thing about this thread and the original question is that the production Reverend basses were already cheaper than Lakland Skyline basses are.

I really wish he'd bring them back, even if it were a situation of him taking a certain number of orders before building them all.
