my new baby... Aria STB-JB custom

hey guys... just wanted to share some pics and sound samples of my new baby... it's a custom Aria STB-JB. :) brought it to the shop to have a clear pickguard customized, as well as a pair of overwound jazz pickups, and had the nut replaced. :) here it is guys... :)

everything was recorded direct to the mic input of the pc without eq or preamp (basically as flat as it can get. :p ) using windows movie maker.

with both pickups full and tone rolled off a little...

with bridge pickup full and neck pickup rolled off to about half... tone rolled off to about half as well...

slap tone... pardon the sloppy slap work, im not really a slapper, i just wanted to make samples of its slap sound. :)

mine has a slightly larger routing on the neck pickup than the bridge pickup... i dont know why though. so basically you get a gap around your neck pickup. im not sure if you can see it on the image if you zoom in. with the clear pickguard it kinda works coz you see some of the guts inside the routing... kinda makes it interesting. :) but you really have to look close since its not that noticeable from a far.

out of the box, a few action adjustments is needed to get the action and feel you want. :) mine plays very well now after i had it set-up. the aria jazz has a p-bass neck profile by the way. :)
