Pics say more than I can... This bass is intricately ugly. I cannot stop looking at it...

I always wanted a 2 stringer though (sarcasm)

I've seen that on evilbay several times. i think it started in austrialia? I remember in the original description he said "you don't need more then the bottom two strings to play bass."

Don't confuse the two... Atlansia makes some phenomenal stuff. I played a Solitaire, (one string), at a funky little music shop here in Portland a few years ago, and it was a serious instrument... I also tried out another odd duck when I was there... Ashbory. Again, serious...

IIRC, the one pictured is either homemade or commissioned based upon the one that the guy saw in the 'alien' picture...

It would be neat if they aligned the two pickups so that each string affects the 4 (or 8) poles on the pickup underneath.

Actually, has anyone tried this? I wonder how it'd sound.
