EBMM StingRay Special Club

That Faded Vintage sunburst looks ridiculously good with the black hardware and ebony board. Iām a die hard fan of maple boards but my next Ray will have to be black hardware with black ebony board. Sounds more piano-like to my ears, to me ebony produces clearer tones than maple
I don't notice a difference in the mix but playing solo the ebony has a little more ping. Sounds great with slap especially.
I like it for the look more than anything

Iāve been searching through the thread but not sureā¦ does anyone have a thumb rest similar to the Zero Mod one that works on the Stingray Special? Actually does the Zero Mod work on the Stingray Special?

Well thank you. Itās for a Stingray Special 4H that Iāve just ordered. It should arrive in November. Iām used to playing with my thumb on a P pickup so Iām considering the Zero Mod.

Nothing to do with being āspecialā or āordinaryā. This is just the name of the model.

Yes this is Stingray Special Bass Club (Model name) BUT if posted in regular Stingray Club it would be considered Special with many there being envious
For me I am more than content with my Special 4H

I could never fall in love with the old Stingrays. I had a USA Sterling for years because I never liked how big and bulky and unruly the old Stingrays felt to me. I loved how they sounded but not how they felt over my shoulder and in my hands.
The Stingray Special I own is an improvement in so many ways. When I found out they were going āspecialā I got SO excited. I just somehow knew that they were about to come out with my forever bass. A slimmed down, well-polished Stingray that sounds incredible in the mix, but can still slap and pop just as good as ever. The Stingray Special, to me, is just so much better.
New Stingray Special owner here. What kind of battery life can I expect? Is there an audible advance warning or does it plummet off a cliff?
