Fodera and the Groove Shoppe:
Well these go hand in hand as I recently just picked up my 91 Emperor Elite from David....

I cannot even begin to describe the service. He went way above and beyond to make sure the bass was updated and delivered in as new condition as it possibly could have been. Many thanks to the Fodera Shop and the Groove Shoppe for taking care of my new baby. Without a doubt.... again they both obviously care a great deal as to the service and product they put out, and I just wanted to express my thanks here.

You guys RULE!

Walnut Body Wings
Flame Maple Center Block with Ebony Fretboard
2 band Haz Labs with The old Bartolini's that sound incredible!
Mute switch and active/passive switch

Yes, Ive seen a few of the older Fodera's with Bart's.
From what I understand though these are the "older" barts they sounds very warm, I would not say "dark" you get alot of bite from them as well as a woodier tone. They fit the bass very well and are very versatile.

The top wood is exquisite too, I have to say, it's one of the nicest Emperors I have seen! I hope you enjoy it!

Nice bass!!

And I agree--David is a great guy to deal with. I bought a Roscoe SKB3006 from them a couple years ago. I would recommend them (David and Joel) to anyone.

The butterfly is the larger one as well, David might have mentioned it but I forgot the year they switched over to the downsized Sleeker version.
