Pickguard For My Bass Poll (pics inside) - HELP ME DECIDE!

I think I want to put a pickguard on my Jerry Scheff 4. I can get one custom made. Should I get one at all? I think white pearloid would look nice, and they offer a pearloid vintage cream white or a pearloid bright white. I can also do mirror, or other colors.

Here is the shape of the pickguard I would be getting (assuming I do). This is a red Scheff with a mirror guard. My Scheff is Gold (pictured above):

If I'm forced to pick one of your choices above, besides other, it would be white pearloid.

I never liked the french curvey Scheff guard I like it as is.

I'd leave it as is. I think that the pick guard on that red one is a funny shape (I also think that the different p/ups on that bass help it pull off the funny pick guard look... if it does in fact pull off the look) I may be biased - I tend to think that Fender shapes need pick guards and non Fender shaped do not. The biggest reason I say no guard though, is that I love that sparkle gold finish. I'd keep it as is.

Yeah, I'd say leave it as it is. But if you really have to get a pickguard, I'd say get one in either blue or green.

Beautiful bass you have there. I think I'd leave it how it is. That bass has enough bling, adding a pickguard will make it trashy looking.

But then again, I could be wrong........naaaaa.

nothing could be better than that bass as it is...except if you put a mirror pickgaurd on it! so much sparkle...

and it would match the chrome, and complete the silver/gold theme of the bass.

I was ready to vote for the white pearloid but changed to no pickguard when I saw the shape.

Different shape, I'd vote pearl.

If I had to choose; #1 Black #2 Mirror. too much fanciness would crash with the gold sparkle. Seems like the fret markers want a black pickguard

I voted mirror and then I saw the shape of the pickguard... Seeing as I don't like the shape of that one I would have to vote none.

Dang. I think basses should be personalised like their owners. Why have a Fender look like a Fender? Think about your own personality and have your bass reflect that for isn't it just an extension of you?

Mirror in that shape would give dimension.
