Calling All Bassists who love to play short scale, our time has come!

First order of business- should we start a new gallery for club members, so we have pics all gathered in place?

Second order of business- what are we considering the official length of a short scale (for club purposes)? Should we make it anything below 34" or should me make it anything under 32"- you get my point.

I vote that we make it anything under 34", but hey this is a democracy, after all.

I would nominate 32" and under...(or maybe 31.9999999999999" and under...)

What flats do you use on your Mustang? I ask because I've got medium scale Chromes on mine and they don't have the enough tension for my liking.

I also have an old Gibson EB style bass with the pickup moved off the neck and closer to a P-Bass position (I don't know what model that is), a Danelectro Longhorn that I'd like to put some flats on, a Harmony H-22, and a Hofner Club bass with cavern pu spacing and the (I think) violinburst finish. The longhorn and especially the Hofner see the most playing time.

I'll join up. I've got an Epi Alan Woody that smokes and an Alembic Stanley Clarke being built right now. I'd favor 32" and smaller for determining what short scale means. If you didn't include 32's, there'd be no place for them to go, plus there's more power in numbers if we let them in. Besides, I've got a 32" Robin Ranger that's like a cross between a P and an SR and easier to play than all get out. :ninja:
