I was wondering on these basses (the white with black pickguard). Are the pickguards the same as the Fender Standards or americans. As far as lining up without doin' mods to get it to fit?

had to work with the neck pocket a little bit and also had to plug and redrill a couple holes..
All simple mods..

That looks nice! I toyed with one this weekend at GC. They also had a 62 reissue to compare it to. Neat to have that situation. To the OP,e ven if it was not an exact fit I would not feel too bad about drilling a few holes into the vintage modified. Cheap enough and you'll be improving the looks greatly if it comes out anything like Ibanezcollectors!

I'd pay more attention to the very bad fit at the lower cutaway horn. Doesn't look very good in my opinion.
I did the same thing to mine, had to shave the pickguard down around the neck pocket but it does look great, just like IC's above. I found a nice MIM Squier neck on ebay to replace the original. It feels and looks a lot more like a MIA neck. So the old neck sits in the closet.
