HI

No pics Junior but I use a UL502 thru a UL2x10 and UL1x15. They stack up perfectly and is the ultimate rock and roll rig. Also, I can carry both cabs inside by myself, one trip. Amazing. What's my damn number? LOL

I've had my UL410 and UL112 (both series I) for about a year now I think, maybe longer. They are my only cabs, and they've been a blessing to work with.

My primary rig at this point.... 4ohm 410UL(II) and F1! (I still have my 410UL (I) also, that KILLS with the LMII!)

I'm proud to say I was one of Nic's first retail customers WAY back in the day, and have been a primary Epifani user for many, many years. Wonderful stuff!!!!

Ken, may I ask how long ago you first started using Epifani?

Looking back in my Quicken file (man, will that keep you honest on what you spend!), it seems I bought my first Epi cab directly from Nick in 1993 (a 210... it was maybe a year after he introduced his original 212 horizontal, which was way too big and heavy for me), and I've been 'upgrading' to various models ever since!!! His Neo cabs literally changed my life, going from small but heavy cabs to big but light ones:hyper::bassist: I believe I was almost first in on his first neo cab also... the 210UL, which I believe was the only cab in the UL line at the very beginning, maybe 6 years ago or so.

Wonderful stuff IMO and IME.

the first time i played epifani cabs it was through one of the original side by side 2x12's and it ble wmy mind tone wise. that is what mad eup my mind on trying to put togetehr a small, modular, NYC line rig. so far i love it. i cant wait to try out the new piccalo amp through these cabs...i tried the markbass f-1 through them today and liekd it, but i want to give epi a shot before i jump the gun.

Another post on being early in. The T cabs I had were always very nice and a dug them, but it wasn't like they totally blew away the competition at the time. They were small but very loud and clean for their size, and unfortunately were among the heavier cabs out there.

When I heard about the intro of the neo's (can't remember if I heard it right from Nick or what), I thought, what the heck.. a little lighter than the 210 that I was using (an 80 pound:eek: EA CXL210... just stupid heavy), so I ordered one up.

You have to remember that back when Nick introduced the 210UL, almost no one had heard of a neo cab, or had experienced a relatively light but large and full sounding cab (some had tried those awful Flite things, but they were a real compromise on tone IMO and IME). So, this big box shows up at my door, and it literally feels empty. I couldn't even believe it. I did a 10 second A/B with the EA cab, and to my ears, it killed it, and was literally 1/3 the weight.

So, that was an amazing moment. I called the shop and believe I talked to Shawn (Sean?) and was raving about it. He said 'wait until you hear the 410 we are working on' and I preordered one on the spot!!!! I still have that original 410UL from the first batch... amazing.. and talk about reliable.

OK... sorry for the ramble, but it was really something back then, and continues to be. Many have come out with Neo cabs since, and many more are jumping in, but Nick put his whole heart and sole into it, and ONLY sells the neo cabs now (Edit: I forgot about the PS line... which is ceramic, but considered his lower end product). He has it down to an art if you like it clean, even and wide sounding IMO!!!!:bassist:

As you know I used to own a UL502, as well as a Quest II. I know own a LMII, but I am very intersted in the reviews on the new amps shown at NAMM. What amp are you currently using for your little NYC rig?

HI

Yea, Ken. The times Ive spend with Shawn and Nick at the shop in Brooklyn have been awesome. What a passion of cabinet making and engineering. Ive never, other than Roger Sadowsky, had an owner/operator spend so much time fiddling with cabs, tweeters, etc and stacking up different setups in the shop to test out. I stopped by to say Hi once and spent 3 hours!!! They love the shop talk!! Last visit was right about the time they were about to release the series 2 cabs. We a/b'd all different configurations. Me, jokerjny, Tiny Lindsay, Shawn, and Nick. Wow. What a great day. Id really like to get a series 2 3x10 or 4x10 sometime. They sound so "open" and alive. Amazing design
