Man I love this bass ... the newest in my collection. Warm, fretless tone through my big boomy Markbass 15" CMD 151P. Lined, ebony fretboard (note that beautiful pattern in the wood!), smooth as can be. Lovely neck, single coil pick-ups sound great. No fancy electronics, just a solid passive bass. Outstanding workmanship, despite the "made in Korea, assembled/final inspection in Chicago", no issues whatsoever here. Didn't like the OEM strings, replaced them with my beloved Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats within about 5 minutes. Purchased from Beaver and the boys in Florida, always an excellent experience. My first fretless, a dreamboat! (And my first Lakland, now I know what the rave is all about!)

P.S. Lakland was founded in 1994, so it's their 14th anniversary. Joe Osborn was born in 1937, so it's his 71st. However, I was born on 3/22/58, making this MY 50th! Sorry if the title of the post was misleading!
