KEN SMITH! I don't have any experience talking to Ken so I don't know what he was like (did see his basses before I got my Spector but they were waaay too expensive for me. Is there anyway to prove I'm not?

The DB'ers are really smart and know what they are talking about but they don't seem to be as, uhm, casual as this bunch. Anyways: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=502905

The "Kenning" starts at the end of page 7 and most of page 8

That didn't happen over there; it was in the "Basses" subforum. All I did was ask a bunch of questions and they sounded like they would rather me have started multiple threads... Anyways...

Can a mod check my IP? If they can, could they compare it to Ken's? (But not post mine for reasons described in the other thread)

You're definitely over-reacting to... everything. Calm down. A couple of the guys were a bit snippy with you IMO, but you also received a lot of good advice. And 95% of the people on this forum are more than happy to help you, but when you're asking a ton of newbie questions back-to-back-to-back-to-back, you have to expect some amount of ribbin'. Don't get me wrong, it's one way we all learn, but there's something to be said for taking a few days and searching, then asking about what you can't find.

And the Ken Smith references were adequately addressed... if you want to know the whole story, it's pretty easy to find with some searching. Chalk it up to missing an inside joke and keep learning.
