i have a rebop that i'm currently changing out the pups and preamp. i would like someone to check my understanding up the wiring before i jump into it. i drew up the based on how i understand the three wiring diagrams.
i looked Link Removed, Link Removed, Link Removed.
assuming my understanding is correct i have one more question. under my Hz pups was a dense foam to support the pups. i wonder
- first, if this foam will be thick enough to place my active emg's close enough to the strings. if not, what would you suggest to raise them up?
- second, the Hz's have the quick connect in the middle of the pup. these foam pads are near the outer edges of the pups. right where the quick connect for the 40P5 is. (i can take a pic if that'll help.) i'm afraid the foam will bend the connectors/put too much strain on them in it's current location. what should i do? i would think my options are to try and cut a section of it out... or try to remove the foam and risk damage/ugliness to the pup cavity because the foam pads are glued in.
any advice you guys can give will be greatly appreciated. i'd like to get this done tonight so i can play it at church in the morning. thanks
