Help me pull the trigger (Essex content)

I'm a poor man these days, but I have trouble sleeping at night knowing I have only one bass (a Jag). I've finally narrowed down my options to two SX PJs; I'm fairly certain they're exactly the same thing in different colors.

Here they are:

So its a simple question-which one do I order?

Oh, and if you're feeling especially cruel, you could point out other viable options at the $100-110 mark. I haven't seen anything.
Don't bother saying used, there's nothing worth looking at used within 80 miles of where I live.

Edit: Just realized I probably should've done a poll. Balls.

Vintage White! My friend actually just ordered this exact bass yesterday per my recommendation. I do not own an SX right now, I've been planning on getting cheapo fretless one. Anyways, he's a guitar player mainly but has a simple studio setup in his apartment and was lookin for something strictly for recording. I thought the P/J setup would be ideal for studio use.

Dude, its your bass - what color do YOU like? What color is your jag? Do you want something similar in color, or totally different? Or worst case, flip a coin!

Enjoy your SX - I love mine!

My Jag is red, and if it came properly equipped I would mate with it.
I don't care what color I wind up with, I just want it to look good.

Interestingly, I'm probably going to use whatever I get for home recording too; as much as I love my Jag, it hisses and spits like the jungle cat its named after. PJ seemed to make more sense to me. Still wish I could get the black with a maple neck, that'd seal the deal for sure.

A buddy just reminded me that a mutual friend has a bass that looks similar to the white one. That's a big turn-off. I think once I get my tax refund I'll send a very nice email to the folks at Rondo and see if I can get a maple fretboard on that black number. Can't hurt to ask...can it?

Since you asked for options...any where near a Guitar Center? Local GC has Yamaha RBX 170 (I think that the model) for $99.00. Nice little basses.

Not a strike against SX...owned one, loved it, but sold it to fund my G&L. I'll get another at some point.
