The title says it all. What do you think TB?? There are some dumbass threads around these parts quite frequently, but there are several that pop up from time to time that exceed all stupid thread expectations. (Yeah, I do realize this is probably one of them.)

By far, cover bands vs original bands.

I've never seen something so stupidly polarizing in all my life!
I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it.... I visited that thread a few times and just when it looked like people were starting to open up, some moron would come in, make some asinine blanket statement and ignite it all over again, and again...and again...and again.

anything racial is also annoying..

then a quick opinion on the last 3:
Mark Wilson IS fail, there should be no "vs"
John Turner banned Chuck Norris, that one's been answered already
Carrots came first, ergo, carrots wins

You'd need to have been around since 2000 to possibly know what some of the dumbest debates were. I'd imagine most of them were in the now defunct tin pan alley and I am sure I was involved in a fair share of them (probably on the side of dumb as well!)!

I would say in terms of sheer ignorance, any thread involving an "audiophile" product like power cables, fuses, wooden knobs, is likely to contain the highest amount of dumb statements per thread. That or any thread in OT!

I also voted for the monster cable debate due to the sheer amount of ignorance that gets passed off as science in those threads.

Overpowering vs. Underpowering speakers should also be an option.
