This the classic Lakland, IMHO.

1 year old Lakland 55-95 Deluxe ash body with quilted maple top and birdseye board. Lakland electronics. Bass is in excellent condition. The plastic is even still on the control cavity cover and it plays like butter. I just had it setup and new DR Long Neck strings put on it this week. The pics below are from a few months ago and it had the old strings on it. Comes with a Lakland hard case

Beautiful bass! I'd expect a flood of smooth butterscotch flavor were I to take a bite from the body.

Would put forth an offer if the purse strings weren’t so tight at the moment. I am impatient to get one though. If anyone in the Boston area sees headlines about a bank robbery, you know what’s going down.

I never did get how that switch on 55's/44's work is it series/paralel/single for bridge pickup or both pickups or?

put the switch towards the neck is the front coil of the MM pickup. Middle is both coils and back is the back coil. Basically, it gives you a 60s jazz, MM Stingray, and 70s jazz all in one. 55-94s are the most flexible basses I have ever owned

:eek: OMG! i didn't know that... about 60's - 70's tone.
i've been talking with a fellow bassist yesterday about getting all in one wonder lakland 55-94 + we've come up with a idea about getting a sadowsky outboard preamp and with that it's MM, P-bas, J-60/70bass wtih 55's preamp on and sadowsky J with 55's preamp off nad sadowsky preamp on (more or less) :)
