New Bongo In The House!

Thought I would share my latest addition:

Bongo 4HH - BFR (Ball Family Reserve) - with solid rosewood neck. True Gold finish with tort guard. The rosewood neck feels awesome.

Thanks to Brandt and TPB - great photos. BTW - these photos do not have the TPB logo in them but my guess is that they are copyrighted by TPB. Just thought I would give credit where due.

This bass is killer!!! Enjoy the pics.

Well ???????????????....How does it play and sound ??? You have taken it out of the case, haven't you? :p

Thanks for all the nice comments. It is absolutlely stunning in person.

Yes it has been out of the case. The neck is silky smooth - fret work is perfect (even if they are straight/parallel - (Dingwall reference)).

Tone wise it is a monster - all the usual great Bongo tones and flexibility - to my ears there appears to be more clarity above the 12th fret (than my other Bongos) and the low end has a unique presence and growl.

Great weight and balance.

Are your other Bongo's 4 HH's? I'm asking because a Bongo is next on my list, but no one stocks them up here:rollno:, so I think I have to order one (never even held one yet). I'm not sure what pup configuation to get. I might have to travel state side to play one first.
