lol soo yeah i did a search but its just not working i was wondering if there is any online book or video lessons on slapping.. today there was this pop/ga* band and suddenly the bassist did this ghost note slap kinda solo and i was like damn i can do better than that but i need some excercises.. any suggestions?

The Ed Friedland Slap DVD is excellent.

Slap Bass by Hal Leonard publishing.

Ed is a mature adult, and he calmly and masterfully takes you through the technique.

I like Ed's approach because there is some space and purpose in his slapping. He isn't one of those super-frenzied high-tension wind-up doll slappers, and he isn't trying to make you into one, either.

There are enough wildman Kitchen Aid slappers out there already, trust me.

Slappin': A Complete Study of Slap Technique For Bass

I use it with my students who think they want to learn to be good slap players, because most hit the wall before they get good at it.

It starts out with the fundamentals and goes from there. About mid-way through it gets pretty challenging, but if you're dedicated, you'll hang in and learn.

The kicker is, it's only 30 pages long. Very saturated, and very effective. TAB and standard notation, comes with a play-along CD as well.

Yeah, check YouTube. Search slap bass, beginner slap, slap lessons, etc.

And do us a favor, TB is not a chat site for you, and your friends. Post with respect, and proper grammar.

Please.:)

You never know who is from America and who is not, so watch out for who you say this too. Not everyone is trained in English as good as you. Im bi-lingual ( German and English ) and some people who even live here never got the proper eductaion because they had families who were un-supportive or had finacial trouble...No offense or anything, just pointing that out. :bassist::bassist:

This is true, but the quote below verifies my original thought. ;)
