2. Put on CD with good slap bass - the kind you want to play.
3. Strap on bass guitar.
4. Learn the parts, practice like hell.
5. Listen for differences between what you and the CD play.
6. Make corrections.
7. If there are still differences, go to 5.
8. Now you play good slap bass!

lol soo yeah i did a search but its just not working i was wondering if there is any online book or video lessons on slapping.. today there was this pop/ga* band and suddenly the bassist did this ghost note slap kinda solo and i was like damn i can do better than that but i need some excercises.. any suggestions?

The kicker is, it's only 30 pages long. Very saturated, and very effective. TAB and standard notation, comes with a play-along CD as well.

I also thought this was a well put together book and very inexpensive.

Also Mel Bay's Percussive Slap Bass by Chris Matheos - if you do want to sound like a Kitchen-Aide Wildman Thrashmaster.

I agree with some previous post, Slap It is the best book if you are a newbie in slap.
If you wanna get more deep into the technique give a check to Grooving with Hybrid Techniques book
