Fender MIM Neck Pocket - '73 Precision Neck - Fit?

I thought I'd find more info here on MIM neck pockets, but no luck.

Does anyone know how the fit would be mounting a 73 P Bass neck on an '04 MIM P body?

Are MIM pockets standard, like MIAs? I have an 02 MIJ body and the neck fits, but it's a little sloppy (side to side).

What can I expect?
