good doom metal setup?

i want my bass tone to be similar to tatsu mikami and jason newstead, and so far the closest ive gotten is a zoom b3 with exciter, squeak and fuzz smile with a behringer hb01 wah pedal before it, if you have tips to get closer to that sound, i would love to hear it

For Tatsu Mikami, I've seen them live a few times in tiny venues. He always ha a lean setup. Usually some kind of drive pedal and a wah. Most of his tone comes from his amp and his playing style. I've even seen him using the backline amps at some venue. The only consistency I can recall venue to venue is that he would turn the amp up as loud as possible and try to give the audience a concussion. Sounded great to me.
