The red Warwick & Washburn AB-20 are new(to me, although the ABG is a return). Any questions?

It's actually a Hohner- whichever model came w/the EMG Select, crappy, useless preamp & super-cool detuner. VERY bright, very good sustain(my neck-through Stambaugh 6 edges it out slightly in this dept). I ripped the neck PU out as it impeded slapstyle, but it was very *rear PU*-sounding already. I did a shameful defret yras ago, but it's actually still quite playable. The *mwah* is out of CONTROL on this bass. I may go insane & glue on body wings someday.

Cool collection...I like that black/black/maple and the Stammy...I had a Spirit with the same pickups, but found that the reach was too much for me, so I sold it. Definitely cool little basses, and everyone always asks about them. Plus, you can look like this dude!

Oh, and I'll take that cream J cover off your hands if you ever want to sell :D

2 things:

1) If you glue wings onto the Stienberger clone, I want a poster of it.

2) Why do you even know that video exists? :eyebrow: I mean, DUDE! Let's overlook the obvious deficiencies of the whole thing and ask ourselves, "Did that guy just say that he's playing rock 'n roll? Seriously?"

I've never seen a mag PU on a Washburn like mine, but I've often wonered how it would sound- I'm not a big fan of the typical piezo sound.
No comment on the video, except to say it's at least amusing.
Lastly, should I actually shutup & graft a proper/traditional body onto the Hohneberger, I would of course post the entire process. :)

Merci, Rene.
That is I believe pretty close to if not exactly the same pickup spacing as a Musicman Stingray, & also as far as I know the only Warwick like that. There were also 'Masterman'(a play on *Musicman*)versions of the Streamer & Forteress basses, but they had dual-Jazz pickups.
The FNA(Formerly Named Altus, I'm told- something to do w/a copyright or business name, IIRC)has a very bright natural tone, w/lots of range via the 3-band EQ. The blond has a Seymour Duncan 18V preamp that is VERY powerful; I tend to roll the high end totally off & juuust tap the mid for a bit more cut if needed.
:ninja: The red one will very likely be FS soon. ;)

Ben, I will try to find(as well as take)some more shots of the Stammie- there is at least one on Jared Lash's Stambaugh gallery.

Oh- and BUI, I actually have another set of DiMarzio/Schaller PJs; not sure what I'm going to do w/them...
