However, Musician's Friend appears to be blowing out their Fender Jaguars for $600!!!

I could swear that the one Jag I've played (at Best Buy) was selling for just a bit more than $600...

Heck, for $600 I'd rather buy a used US J bass... But I don't buy stuff on credit any more.

To each their own. I just know that the Jag is my second-favourite bass of all time (yet), and up here in my neck of the woods, they go for a touch over a grand retail, last time I checked.

So on seeing that, I thought I'd share the love.

They were 600 brand new just 5 months ago anyway. 600 isn't a deal for these. That's what they should cost normally. Buy a used US bass for that kind of cash.

They were $600 until fender had their price increase. Then they went up to over $950 and now they are on sale to bring them back to where they were. If you go to Sweetwater now, they are $939 for red and $969 for black.

That has happened to a lot of Fender products in the past month or so. After raising prices, they have now introduced specials to get the price back down.

White...it's a really nice, deep oly white in person, and it offsets the pearl blocks quite nicely.

I seem to recall a guy starting a thread about the 479 thing not long ago. It seems they have done this before. They charge the same or a bit more than normal and make up for it with one time only offers every so often owuld be my guess. Still, 479 doesn't sound that bad, if I had it.

I've heard from a few people that these basses can have some "hum" issues. Sexy looking basses though, although the colors are hardly inspiring.
