ok yall @NKBassman I pulled the trigger on a Darkglass Element for me kid and am overwhelmed by all my options in the software. Can yall give me some presets for her to try out and see which she likes best. My guess is I just need 3, and if I understand things correctly I will duplicate two of them, one for bass flat and one with bass od .

Yall got favorite cabs ... this kid likes metal.. Priest, Sabbath,

EDIT: OK, now I am in the software and playing a little. Still overwhelmed my mic choices, but this thing does a lot.

I'm always behind the times when it comes to this kind of stuff but I really like the Element. I use the Shift Line IR's and like them a lot and then i don't have to worry about the mics and mic placement in the Element

I will also say the little EQ 'pedal' in the Element signal chain is more useful that i expected just for a little bit of tailoring.
