So, other than some of the Eden amps and the Phil Jones stuff, can anyone here help me make a list of amps that are equipped with a simple voltage switch to go from US voltage 115/120 to Euro voltage 220/240 ?

I'll start

Eden
Phil Jones
and .......

I know you are not a simple lightweight solid state head kinda guy though.

ha! no, I am not, and I am going to get a US Walkabout converted to euro voltage (220-240) for my upcoming 2 year sojourn to Europe. But in the process of looking at amps that would work anywhere, I thought I'd ask, and I am not disappointed !

So the list of amps with easily switchable voltage reads:
(in no particular order)
  • Eden (not sure that all models are capable)
  • Phil Jones
  • Orange
  • Euphonic Audio Micro550
  • Walter Woods
  • Ashdown Little Giant 1000
  • Ampeg SVT-8PRO (and some other ampeg units)
  • Genz Benz (all models according to agedhorse, who should know :))
  • Acoutic Image

any others you want to add ?

thanks for all the input on this topic.

The current list of amps that have switchable voltage

  • Eden (not sure that all models are capable)
  • Phil Jones
  • Orange
  • Euphonic Audio Micro550
  • Walter Woods
  • Ashdown Little Giant 1000
  • Ampeg SVT-8PRO (and some other ampeg units)
  • Genz Benz (all models according to agedhorse, who should know )
  • Acoustic Image
  • TecAmp Puma series
  • TC Electronic
  • Hartke LH500 and LH1000 (possibly other Hartke models too)
  • Fender Bassman export series (thats kind of cheatin')

I'm going to hold of on listing the Ampeg combos that giacomini provided until its clear they work like that.

Keep 'em coming !
