1984 G&L SB-2 (J/J) stolen from Raleigh

the bass was taken out of my living room on Friday, January 28th 2011. while i don't have the S/N, i have enough other distinguishing properties to enable positive identification:
  1. the name "Gabriel" is written in pencil in the neck pocket
  2. the 3-way selector switch has been disengaged. that is, pickup and volume wires have been unsoldered from the switch and manually combined
  3. some solder burn marks on finish near control plate (see previous list item)
pictures of the bass can be found [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].

thanks, everyone. it's a shame there is a need for this forum to exist.

UPDATE

Bass was returned to me today by the fine folks at the Raleigh Police Department. I have another thread going in the "Basses" forum where you can read the fun details.

So thankful & happy the bass is home. Idiots busted the latches on the case (they weren't even locked!), but it'll fit in the gig bag. The bass itself is unharmed and the perp behind bars.

Here's hoping every other lost/stolen piece of gear in this forum gets returned in one piece, unless it was a multi-piece piece of gear. In that case, I hope the correct number of pieces are returned.

Thread closed!
