Post your presets on Jamup, Amplitube, Ampkit, GarageBand, GK app here!

Just post some info about the preset. You can add a clip or screen capture if you wants to.
Btw, you could comment what bass you are using and what kind of interface (Apogee Jam, iTrack, iRig etc).

If you use Jamup you can just use the "share" section and post it over there. Just use the same user name there as here on TB so your presets would be easily traceable.

Here is one of my presets to be found on the Jamup share section:
Duke21
Hiwat 70s bass
crunchy Hiwat bass tone

This preset is very versatile regarding bass type, works well with my 4003, Geddy Jazz and my CV60 P bass with flats. The tone is a rather dark crunchy tone with some nice top end sizzle. Not a lot of low end, but there is enough of it. The kids are strong and will work well in band mix.

Regarding presets, I've came across a secret weapon which is a small app called Remaster. It meant to be used on a clip/ song but with Audiobus one can use it in the effect slot. Running Jamup in the input slot. Remaster have a great 7 band para EQ and a compressor. The EQ range is 23hz to 20khz.

Anyone feel like advising me on presets for fingerstyle punk and or metal? I've got an Ibanez SRX400 with an active pickup. I'm running it through an Alesis IO Dock and iPad 1. Jamup has a lot of settings and as I'm fairly new, I'm getting kind of overwhelmed.

I play with a pick, Rip is out hardcore finger style man. My tips is use the GK RB800, crank the gain to about 75% then:
Bass: 13
Low mid: 12
High mid: 14
Treble 12

All other buttons on default values. Maybe bright on.
Put the LA2 comp in front with default values.
If you lack gain move the LA2 after the amp and add the BDDI in front with default values.

Wow, I finally get to answer one!! Yay!!

Here we go:

I use two main presets when playing finger style (and with a pick, actually). My new band requires me to use a pick more often than I ever have before, and yesterday I found that my P-bass with Chromes flats is the sound I need for this band.

But back on topic, my main amps are the GK and the Blueline. Keep the Bass Cut out of the equation. Leave that switch alone on both amps. It just muddies things up unless you're playing by yourself in your bedroom.

I always keep the LA comp after the amp, though for me it is to level out peaks since I run direct into the PA.

Using the comp after everything lets me squash the transients and protect my speakers a bit.

Sometimes I also add the blue comp up front but I'm finding that it can be too much if you're not careful.

The key to cutting through when playing finger style is gonna be your mids. Stay away from radical boosts in the low end, in fact (especially with the Blueline) it helps to cut it to below 12:00.

These setting I gave here are quite generic and will work with pick or fingers. Like all settings, there is a base of the settings which can be used but farther adjustments might be a must due to different basses, playing style etc.

Generally I think the GK is the easiest bass amp in Jamup in order to obtain nice rock/ punk/ metal tone. While it is not my number 1 amp it is always easy to get a decent tone out of it.
I specially like the GK with my Fender basses, specially my Geddy Jazz.
But the sweetest "clean" tone is in my opinion is the SWR Redhead, certainly wit my Ric.

My favourite amps (for bass) are the following:
1) SWR Redhead and my Ric.
2) Hiwatt 103 and my Ric.
3) Marshall JCM 800 and my Ric.
4) SVT BL and my Ric

1) GK R800 and my Geddy
2) Hiwatt 103 and my Geddy
3) SVT BL and my Geddy

1) SVT BL and my CV P bass
2) Hiwatt 103 and my CV60 P bass
3) SWR Redhead and my CV 60 P bass

I'm not sure what type of music I play when I do my own stuff, I guess I'm a prog rock inspired. These who listened to my recordings knows.

When I first got Jamup I was really into the Redhead, but as soon as I used it with the band it just didn't work for me.

I can get a great practice sound with the Red, but for live work with the band, the Blueline always wins. I use the GK sometimes, too, but most of my playing is with the BL w/ the LA comp after the amp.

My basses aren't as complex as Duke's, mine are all Fender or Fender clones. I'm using an MIA P, a knockoff SCPB, and an SX Jazz. The Fender and the SX get the most playtime.

Both Ampegs should be under 12 for bass, at least for my part. The GK and the Redhead are the only amps where I can boost the bass to 13:00, specially the GK which seems to have the nicest lows when these are boosted.

Yes, but you have a great Fender tone!! ;)

My basses, well I'm not sure if they are complex, but I guess my tone is identifiable.
My basses are:
Rickenbacker 4003 which is I guess the most versatile bass I have. It is most "me" :)
Geddy Lee sig. Jazz which is brighter then the usual Fender Jazz.

Squier CV60 P bass with EB flats which are the same as chromes.

Beatles Bass copy.

Could be interesting If I and Rip play a riff on the same amp and settings, him with fingers or pic on his SX Jazz, and me on my Geddy with fingers and a pick.
Shell we record a clip each and post it?
It will be kind of the Fender Jazz maple fret board comparison.
